| Each damage control repair locker was provided with the
tools, equipment and materials for cutting and repairing
sections of piping and getting the system back on the line.
Tools included pipe patching, banding, plugging and plastic pipe
repair tools. The portable oxygen acetylene cutting outfit was
provided for cutting, heating and brazing on the pipe and
flanges. Equipment consisted of two sizes of small pipe cutters.
Large pipe and monkey wrenches were part of the DC allowance as
well. Materials included flanges. In addition, materials and
tools were used to install and provide the following types of
pipe patches and repair functions: plastic pipe, jubilee, clamp,
banding, metal and soft patches and plugging. |
