Fixed Fog Spray Installations

Fixed Fog Spray Installations were used aboard certain types of naval ships. Aircraft carriers, transports, and cargo ships where there was a great chance of fire. These ships carried large amounts of gasoline and aviation gasoline.

The installations were made of overhead fixed piping equipped with fog heads. The piping was then connected to 2 1/2 inch swivel type female hose connections. The connections were located on the opposite side of the ship as the Fixed Fog Spray Installations. For operation the hose is connected to a fire plug and water turned on manually.
