| Firefighting Gloves, Asbestos |
| The 15-inch, gauntlet-style asbestos glove was part of repair locker allowances in the 1940s and 1950s. It was used primarily for firefighting and handling expended, hot OBA canisters. The two-piece, slip-on style gloves had a palm-reinforcing leather flap attached to the top of the hand and bottom of the gauntlet. |
