USS CARNEY (DDG 64), Collision, 9 June 2004

On June 9, 2004, the Arleigh Burke class destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) collided with the British frigate HMS Sutherland while conducting personnel transfers between ships off the coast of North Carolina. The collision resulted in only light damage and no injuries or casualties were reported.
